What is Verification of Payee (VOP)?
Verification of Payee is a service offered by banks to help customers avoid fraud or mistaken payments. When you set up a transfer, your bank may check that the account name you enter matches the name registered with the account’s IBAN.
Why does my bank say the name doesn’t match?
This can happen due to small spelling or formatting differences (for example, typos, abbreviations, middle names, or missing accents).
Make sure you have entered the IBAN correctly and use the same name format you registered with Raisin.
Can I still send money to Raisin if I get a warning?
Yes. Even if your bank shows a warning, you can still choose to proceed.
As long as you send the payment to the correct IBAN of your Raisin Account, your funds will arrive securely.
⚠️ Please note: If no “exact match” is confirmed, be aware that the way you typed the recipient’s name may differ from the name registered at Raisin.
What kinds of messages might I see?
When sending money to your Raisin Account, your bank may show one of the following outcomes:
Full match – The name matches exactly.
Partial match – The name is similar but not identical (e.g. typos, abbreviations, accents, or missing middle names).
No match – The name does not match the account holder name at all.
Not applicable – Your bank does not support or perform this check.
Is my money safe if I see a warning?
✅ Yes – your money is safe as long as:
You send the transfer to the correct IBAN of your Raisin Account.
You entered your Raisin account details exactly as shown in your account dashboard.
Verification of Payee is only an advisory service. Even if you see “No match” or “Partial match,” your payment will still reach Raisin securely, provided the IBAN is correct.
