This article explains how Raisin handles your personal data after you close your account or request data deletion.
Is my data deleted right away?
No — your personal data is not deleted immediately after account closure or deletion request. Raisin Bank is required by law to retain certain data for a specified period to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
How long is my data stored?
In general, your personal data may be stored for up to 10 years after your account is closed, depending on the applicable legal retention periods. This ensures compliance with banking, tax, and anti-money laundering regulations.
How is my data deleted?
Once the legal retention period ends:
- Your data is automatically deleted
- Deletion is carried out securely and in line with GDPR requirements
- The process ensures your data is no longer available in any operational system
What if I request data deletion?
If your account is closed and you request full data deletion, we will record the request. However, data can only be deleted once the legal retention period has expired.
