The location shown for your trusted devices is based on the IP address used at the time of login, not your exact physical location. Because of this, the location displayed may sometimes look unfamiliar.
This is a common security practice, but it isn’t always perfectly accurate.
Common reasons for location differences
Internet providers (dynamic IPs): Your internet provider may assign IP addresses that appear to be registered in a nearby or different region.
VPNs, proxies, or work networks: These often route your connection through servers in other locations.
Mobile networks or public Wi-Fi: These can cause locations to appear less precise.
Geolocation database inaccuracies: IP addresses are not always mapped to the correct location.
What you should do
Please check whether the device and time of login match your own activity.
If you don’t recognise the device or login time, contact our Customer Service team as soon as possible.
